Savannah East News
It was another wonderful day for a Rotary meeting.  President Laura Lane McKinnon announced that the Service Project committee has recently purchased several hundred Thanksgiving cards and we’ll be partnering with the Meals on Wheels program of Senior Citizens, Inc. to distribute the cards to homebound and isolated seniors the week of Thanksgiving.  She is asking each RCSE member to take at least one packet of 12 Thanksgiving cards and to handwrite a positive and uplifting message in each one.  The packets of cards will be at our meetings from now until November.  After all Rotary business items were discussed, Assistant District Governor Sam Eskew introduced our speaker for the day, District Governor Ed Presnell.

It was another wonderful Friday meeting filled with food, fellowship, and a presentation by Chief Judge Tammy Stokes.  President Laura Lane McKinnon thanked all the members who were able to volunteer at PACK the previous week.  Hundreds of bags of food were packed for area children.  Once all business items were discussed, she introduced our speaker for the day, Chief Judge Tammy Stokes, who works in Recorder's Court.
It was so nice to have former RCSE member Wade Herring speak to the club this past week.  President Laura Lane thanked everyone for their donations to the Back to School Supply Drive for Haven Elementary and also reminded members of the two service projects the following week at P.A.C.K.  Once all Rotary business items were discussed, Wade Herring spoke to the club about why he decided to run for Congress.
