Another Friday and another great meeting for RCSE at The Pirates House.  Ben Brewer reminded everyone of the Holiday Party on Wednesday, December 18th.  The party will start at 6:00PM at The Planters Inn with some fellowship, food and drinks followed by a trolley tour around downtown.  This event is free for members and $10 per guest.  Please sign up with Kerri if you would like to attend.  After all business items were discussed, Gordon Matthews introduced Katy Acuff - founder of Katy Skelton who is also Steve Acuff's daughter-in-law!
The wind, rain and cold did not keep RCSE down this past Friday!  President Cindy Kelley reminded the membership to mark their calendars for Wednesday, December 18th for the Holiday Party.  The party will begin at The Planters Inn with cocktails and light appetizers followed by a trolley ride downtown.  The event is free for members and $10 per guest.  Please sign up with Kerri if you would like to attend.  After all Rotary business items were discussed, Laura Lane McKinnon introduced our speaker for the day, Polly McKinney - Advocacy Director at Voices for Georgia's Children.
This past week, the meeting was held in the Anne Bonny room and Anne Bonny herself stopped by to tell some tales for Fines!  Jeff Heeder came back as a full time member and it was great to see him again - Welcome Back Jeff!  President Karl Bohnstedt announced that the Annual Holiday Party will start with cocktails and light appetizers at The Planters Inn followed by a trolley tour of downtown Savannah.  More details about the party will be forthcoming.  Once all Rotary business items were discussed, Laura Lane McKinnon introduced our speaker for the day, Karen Gainey with Clean Coast.
It was a wonderful meeting at The Pirates House with lots of members and an engaging speaker.  President Karl Bohnstedt announced that $450 had been donated to the Humane Society from the money raised through Fines, Raffle and Happy from First Quarter.  Once all Rotary business items were announced, Philip Gillette introduced our speaker for the day - Dr. Michael Babcock who is an interventional cardiologist with Cardiology Associates of Savannah.
