On Friday, RCSE had a shorter than normal meeting as the speaker was unable to attend due to an illness. Even though there wasn't a program, many announcements were made along with a Member Minute by Michelle Stenson! President Elect Kim Campbell encouraged everyone to participate in the June service project which is providing books for the Haven Elementary Media Center. She also announced that starting in the new fiscal year, the position of Sergeant at Arms would be reinstated as a rotating assignment with different members taking on the role each week. President Mark Sprosty urged members to attend the June social on Tuesday, June 17 as it is a great way to visit with fellow Rotarians. Finally, Gordon Matthews gave an update on a GRSP student who the club sponsored 20 years ago!

This past Friday, RCSE took our meeting on the road and visited Savannah Technical College! In addition to a field trip, we had a new member initiation as well. Welcome to club, Tracie! After all Rotary business items were announced, Kim Campbell introduced our speaker, President Ryan Foley.
Today, our speaker was our very own Dr. Roy Maynard! Before Roy began his presentation, President Mark Sprosty reminded everyone in attendance of the upcoming May social as well as the meeting location on May 30 at Savannah Technical College. After all announcements were finished and Happy dollars collected, Roy began his presentation on Project Smile which is a non profit dental mission program that was founded in 1992 by another RCSE member, Dr. Steve Acuff.
On Friday, we had two "Red Badge" Member Minutes where Ruth Albright and Bryce Everrett shared personal insights, interests, and a few fun surprises about their lives outside of Rotary. President Mark Sprosty reminded everyone about the RCSE Membership Survey and the May Social on Wednesday, May 21. Once all Rotary business items were discussed, Melanie Farrant introduced our speaker for the day, Cecilia Arango, who talked about her journey running marathons.
