Savannah East News
It was wonderful being back at The Pirates House after a long break for the Holiday's.  New RCSE President Gordon Matthews made quite a few announcements with one being to Save the Date for the RCSE Annual Oyster Roast which will be on February 29 at his house on Tybee!  After all Rotary business items were discussed, Laura Lane McKinnon introduce the speaker for the day, Meghan Lowe with Make-A-Wish Georgia.
There will NOT be a meeting this Friday, January 17th due to Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday.  RCSE looks forward to seeing all members and guests at our next meeting at The Pirates House on Friday, January 24th.
A fun time was had by all who were able to attend the annual RCSE Holiday Party.  There was good food, good drinks and great conversation at The Planters Inn followed by a fun trolley ride around downtown Savannah.  Due to Marc Friday's generosity in helping host this event, the guest fee of $10 will be waived!  RCSE wishes everyone and their families a Happy New Year.
The meeting on Friday the 13th was a nice way to end the meetings of the 2019 calendar year.  The club was back in our normal room, Ben Lingle received his Blue Badge, and we had one of our very own present  - John Neely!  After all Rotary business items were discussed, Gordon Matthews introduced John Neely who presented on his time in Brazil while he was in the Peace Corps.
