This past Friday, RCSE was able to hear from Tim Arnold from Fight Dirty Tybee about all the efforts they are doing to keep Tybee clean. This was perfect timing since the May social and service project was the following day where the club was going to volunteer for the organization! Before Tim began speaking, President Laura Lane reminded all club members about the social and service the following day as well as the June service project at Camp Low on Saturday, June 4th from 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Foundation Chair Ed Engel read all of the causes that Rotary International is involved. Once all business items were discussed, Tim began his presentation.

President Elect Jason Jones took the lead at our meeting on Friday and did an excellent job running his first RCSE meeting. Jason reminded everyone of the two upcoming service projects - Tybee Island Beach Clean Up on Saturday, May 21, and the Camp Low Clean Up Day on Saturday, June 4. Foundation Chair Ed Engel read the Rotary Code of Ethics during his Foundation Minute. Once all business items were discussed, Gordon Matthews introduced our speaker for the day, Kelly Branham, who has been involved in capital defense for over 30 years.
What a wonderful way to end the month of April by having an engaging speaker in Dr. Steven Greer! President Laura Lane reminded members to sign up for the May Service and Social on Saturday, May 21. It will be a Tybee Island Clean Up followed by lunch at North Beach Grill. Once all Rotary business items were discussed, Dr. Greer spoke to the club about knee replacements.
It was a wonderful day for two more new member inductions. Welcome to the club Ivy and Lindsay! April has turned into membership month at RCSE and it has been great to welcome so many people into our club. After all Rotary business items were discussed, President Laura Lane McKinnon introduced our speaker for the day, Conni Reynolds, who spoke to the club about the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce.
