It was a fun Friday at The Pirates House this past week. Before our speaker read us some of her short stories, President Conni Reynolds announced the October Service Project which will be on Saturday, October 3, at Forsyth Park. She also reminded all in attendance about the September Social at Tubby's and that Q1 dues are due! Once all Rotary business items were discussed, Melanie Farrant introduced our speaker, author Jessica Leigh Lebos.

It was great to be back at The Pirates House on Friday where we were treated to a presentation by Tom Hollis about Sleep! Before Tom took the podium, President Conni Reynolds had Doris Williams come forward as Doris has completed all Red Badge requirements and is now a Blue Badge! Congratulations, Doris! After all Rotary business items were discussed and Happy dollars collected, Melanie Farrant introduced Tom.
This past Friday, RCSE had our meeting at Hospice Savannah where we were given a presentation by Kate Doran about the new PACE center. We also had the honor of being able to wish Joe Buck and Gordon Matthews a happy 40 years in RCSE!
What a fantastic joint Rotary meeting today, bringing together Rotarians from across Savannah! It was a privilege to hear from District Governor Beverly Trainor and guest speaker Ronald Feldner, Chief of Water Resources for the City of Savannah. The discussion was informative and insightful, but the biggest takeaway was seeing so many Rotarians gathered in one room, sharing ideas, building connections, and being reminded of our joint purpose: Service Above Self. Together, we are stronger and able to create an even greater impact throughout Savannah.
