This past Friday, RCSE had our meeting at Hospice Savannah where we were given a presentation by Kate Doran about the new PACE center.  We also had the honor of being able to wish Joe Buck and Gordon Matthews a happy 40 years in RCSE!

The Program for All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) was formed in 1979 and is now operating in 33 states.  The Savannah location will be the first operational PACE in Georgia. It is funded through Medicare and Medicaid and they are authorized to serve 344 people within our community.  Some of the offerings in the center are social rooms, hair salon, nutritionist, pharmacist, dentist and doctor's.  Kate then provided a guided tour of the newly renovated facility.  RCSE was grateful for the opportunity to learn more about PACE and the mission of helping seniors remain healthy, independent, and connected to their community.
