Details for the October 3rd Meeting

We will be meeting at The Pirates House this Friday in our normal meeting room - Captain Flints Hall.  You must enter through the FRONT ENTRANCE as the side door is no longer unlocked.

Our speaker for the meeting this week is Dr. Bonzo Reddick, a native of Savannah, who is with the Georgia Department of Public Health.  He will give us a brief discussion of the claim that “housing is healthcare” and other recent controversies related to Health Equity.

RCSE looks forward to seeing all members and guests on Friday!

NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
September 26, 2025 - Meeting Recap
On Friday, RCSE welcomed Dr. Steve Curran from Khaki Consulting.  Before Steve was introduced, President Kim Campbell reminded all members that Q1 dues were due and that we need to use the front entrance of The Pirates House when coming to a meeting.

Dr. Curran talked to the club about the Peace Index.  He discussed how we can use this tool to conquer chaos in our lives as our level of inner peace effects the people around us.  There are five key areas to the Peace Index: 1. Purpose - do I get to do what I was created to do? 2. People - do the people in my life have a positive or negative effect on me? 3. Place - do I love where I live? 4. Personal Health - is my mind, body, and spirit in a good place? 5. Provision - do I have the resources to live the life I want to live?  Dr. Curran then lead us through an exercise to figure out our own Peace index.  He encouraged everyone to make one little change over the next week and discussed how that one change can make a difference in your score.  He said we should focus on  "controlling the controllables" as many people waste their energy on things that are out of their control.  To learn more about Dr. Curran, Khaki Consulting, and how the Peace Index can help you in your workplace and everyday life, please visit https://khakiconsulting.com/
