Details for the July 8th Meeting

We will be meeting at The Pirates House this Friday in our normal meeting room - Captain Flints Hall. The side door to the room will be unlocked if you would prefer to use that entrance.

Our speaker for the meeting this week is Ret. Col. Richard Noel. He will speak about Americanism - How We Pay It Forward!

We will also have two new member inductions on Friday: Bernadette Bryant and Tom Owens. Please show your support for them by attending the meeting. Additionally, RCSE will have 16 members become Paul Harris Fellows. July is starting off with a bang this Friday! RCSE looks forward to seeing all members and guests on July 8th!

School Supply Drive for

Haven Elementary

We will be collecting school supplies from the official SCCPSS school supply list for students at Haven Elementary School, our partner school, for our July service project. Please bring supplies to one of the July meetings to be collected and delivered to the school before the school year begins. Here is the link for the supplies that are needed:

For those members who prefer to donate funds, rather than supplies, please give cash or your check to either Andrew Cosey or Kerri Culver, who have graciously agreed to shop for us again this year.

June 24, 2022 - Meeting Recap

It was a lovely day for the New Officer Installation! Outgoing President Laura Lane McKinnon said that it has been an honor to serve as President of Rotary Club of Savannah East. She values the friendships she has made and sees a very bright future for our club! Once Laura Lane was finished, she turned the podium over to ADG Sam Eskew.

Before beginning the New Officer Installation, Sam congratulated the club on receiving the Silver Award at the District Conference. He said one of the goal's for District 6920 in the upcoming year is to have 35% female membership. Another emphasis will be on the Rotary Foundation. After Sam was done, he asked Jason Jones to come up for the Officer Installation. The new officers for Rotary Club of Savannah East for the upcoming year are:

Once the new slate of officers were installed, Jason thanked his parents and friends for coming to support him, thanked the membership, and also thanked Laura Lane for her service. Jason's goal for his year as President is to increase the membership by 16 members! He is asking everyone to bring four guests over the next 12 months in order for him to reach his goal. It looks like the new fiscal year is shaping up to be another great year for RCSE!
