Jamey Espina spoke to the club about the power of storytelling in all aspects of our life - both personal and professional. Stories are how we effectively communicate. When someone tells a story, it is easier for us to empathize with them. Unfortunately, a whole generation is growing up without stories due to new technology. Most kids only know how to text rather than talk on the phone. Stories are an extremely important tool in building relationships, maintaining relationships, and in all areas of business. The story movement has been around since the beginning of time. In the early 1990's, Hospice Savannah became the first Hospice in the country to record the life stories of their patients. In April 2022, Hospice Savannah will be hosting an Institute for Story conference in Savannah. Speakers from all over the country will be presenting.
