It was another wonderful day at RCSE!  President Mark Sprosty reminded members of our July Service Project where we collect school supplies for our partner school, Haven Elementary.  We will be delivering the supplies on Friday, July 26, and will serve breakfast to the faculty at Haven.  He also asked for people to sign up to attend the meeting on July 19th at SEDA.  Once all Rotary business items were discussed, Bruce Clemons spoke to our club about the project he has in Guatemala.

Dr. Bruce Clemens shared about his decades of work providing clean water and sanitation in rural Guatemala. While clean drinking water has an obvious public health benefit, Bruce also pointed out how clean water decreases poverty and can lead to an overall better quality of life.  He encouraged all members to join him on their group trip to Guatemala in February 2025.  The trip will provide learning opportunities in the process that is used to address rural potable water, sanitation, and economic development.  If you are interested in traveling with Bruce to Guatemala, please let us know and we will provide you the information.  To learn more about Bruce and his 501c3, please visit: http://www.peopleswater.org
