It was a great final meeting of 2021 with Monty Jones giving the club an update on the new Enmarket Arena!  Cindy Kelley was acting President for our meeting and thanked everyone who was able to participate in the December Social and Service Project of caroling to those who live in the Tiny House Project.  Once all business items were discussed, Monty filled us in on all that is happening with the new arena.

The Enmarket Arena was built at a cost of $165 million using funds raised through SPLOST.  The Oak View Group manages the arena and therefore, the city does not pay for any operations or overhead.  Once the arena reaches a revenue of $1.5 million, then the city will partake in some of the funds.

The type of offerings that will be available at the Enmarket Arena will reflect the melting pot that is Savannah.  There will be sports, music, monster truck, ice skating, WWE and more!  The arena will also be home to Savannah's first professional hockey team called Ghost Pirates.  There are 2,000 - 3,000 season ticket holders and the first game will be on October 22, 2022.  The current seating capacity for concerts is 9,500 and hockey games will be 7,300.  There are four different packages for tickets ranging from the high end which is a VIP Suite ($22,000) to the low end which is $2,500 for tickets to all hockey games.  To learn more about the arena and upcoming events, please visit https://www.enmarketarena.com
