Another week and another new member induction for RCSE!  This past Friday, Trice Thornton was inducted to our club - welcome Trice!  President Laura Lane McKinnon announced the sign up is now available for the Tybee Island Beach Clean Up and Social which is scheduled for Saturday, May 21st from 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM.  Foundation Chair Ed Engel reminded everyone about the Object of Rotary.  Once all Rotary business items were discussed, Rotarian Kevin Wade from the Downtown Augusta club spoke to us about Cyber Intelligence, Cyber Security, and the incredible investment in technology infrastructure in the Augusta area.
 
In 2014, the Army announced it would be relocating Cyber Command to Fort Gordon in August, GA.  This created $1.6 billion in new construction and added 17,000 army personnel to the area.  Due to this influx of cybersecurity, Augusta University started a Cyber and Computer Science degree.  There is now a Global ACE Certification that is offered in Augusta which aims to enhance the skill-sets of the cybersecurity workforce with local and international requirements.
