After many weeks away due to tax season, President Beth Hancock was back to lead members during the weekly meeting.  Everyone was excited to see Beth and the happy dollars were flowing with lots of good news from members including, but not limited to, tax season being over, a new job, and a grandson christening.  After all business matters were finished, RCSE was fortunate to have a visit from Past President Tony O'Reilly along with Stephen George to talk about the Small Business Assistance Corporation (SBAC).

SBAC is an independent, non profit organization that specializes in "gap" financing solutions for customers.  It's first year of service was 1990.  SBAC partners with banks and offers 13 different loan programs ranging from $2,500-$5 million.  They are unable to loan to non profit organizations.  The default rate on loans is 4% which is higher than a bank but lower than others who offer similar services.  SBAC has partnered with many local business such as Chatham Eye Associates, Circa 1875, Lulu's Chocolate Bar, Bluffton Oyster Co, Savannah Tire, and Savannah Bee Company.  For more information regarding SBAC services, please contact them at 111 E Liberty Street, Suite 100, Savannah, GA 31401.
