It was nice to be back at The Pirates House this week after a few weeks off! Kim Campbell reminded those in attendance about the upcoming April Service Project and Social Event. Laura Lane spoke about forming a small group of members who would be interested in helping GROW Initiative GA plan a fundraising event which will take place in October. GROW focuses on the immigrant community by providing education, health, nutrition and community engagement initiatives. Once all business was discussed and Happy dollars collected, we had three Member Minutes from some of our Red Badge members!
Laura Limp began by sharing her love of gardening, music festivals, Indiana University and the most important, the loves of her life which are her daughter and her dog. Dorris Williams talked about how her childhood shaped who she is today and the importance of taking care of yourself so you can help others. Finally, Blake Bethea spoke on his career progression from working on a farm to being a member of Chatham Capital Group and his love for his wife and baby girl. Thank you to all three members for sharing about their lives!
