It was a busy day at RCSE this past Friday!  We had many Rotarian visitors and guests from Rotary District 3150 in India and area clubs.  Before the Friendship Team from India presented, a banner exchange between the two clubs took place followed by RCSE initiating two new members - Ben Lingle and Catie Todaro!

There were six members from Rotary Distict 3150 who participated in the Friendship Exchange.  Their classifications were Dentist, Accountant, Hotel Management, Education, IT Professional, and Artist.  District 3150 is comprised of 98 clubs, 3500+ Rotarians, and is very involved in education and schools in India.  They have been able to use $4.2 million in the last five years from Global Grants to help benefit over 1 million people by providing clean water stations, bathrooms and school supplies.  Each member of the Friendship Exchange began their presentations with pictures of their families and expressions of gratitude for all those who had helped make the Friendship Exchange possible.  Then, they each spoke on different aspects of India.  Some of the points made were that India is the 6th largest economy in the world, India is about unity in diversity,  and there are 22 official languages.  They ended the presentation by presenting President Ben Brewer with an original painting made by students who attend a school in Rotary District 3150.
