Gateway Behavioral Crisis Center

Maureen McFadden, Director of Outreach as well as the Director of Child & Adolescent Programs, will be talking with us about the Gateway Behavioral Crisis Center.

The Behavioral Crisis Center (BHCC) is located at 2121 E. DeRenne Avenue and provides 24-hr walk-in psychiatric emergency services to those in need. It operates 365 days a year with a team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, case managers, therapists, and certified peer specialists.  The BHCC has 24 beds and 6 additional beds for 23-hr observation. 

Services provided include peer support, counseling, triage, and medications. Treatment and connection to out-patient services or admission to in-patient services are provided based on assessments.
