Details for the July 7th Meeting

We will be meeting at The Pirates House this Friday in our normal meeting room - Captain Flints Hall. The side door to the room will be unlocked if you would prefer to use that entrance.

Our speaker for the meeting this week is Shawnessy Cargile who will share why local juvenile court judges started The Front Porch, how it exists to offer early interventions in a child’s life, and why it exists to help “at risk” youth and the kid that sits across from you in church. He’ll also share easy ways for Rotary members to support The Front Porch mission and refer children they know for free services.

RCSE looks forward to seeing all members and guests on July 7th!

Back to School

School Supply Drive for

Haven Elementary

We will be collecting school supplies from the official SCCPSS school supply list for students at Haven Elementary School, our partner school for our July service project. Please bring supplies to one of the July meetings to be collected and delivered to the school before the school year begins. Here is the link for the supplies that are needed:

For those members who prefer to donate funds, rather than supplies, please give cash or your check to either Andrew Cosey or Kerri Culver, who have graciously agreed to shop for us again this year.

June 23, 2023 - Meeting Recap

It was a lovely day for New Officer Installation! President Jason Jones reminded everyone of the upcoming Back to School School Supply Drive that will be taking place in July for the students at Haven Elementary. He then thanked everyone who had helped him this past year while he was President. Once all Rotary business items were discussed, Jason introduced ADG Michael O'Neal who would be helping with the New Officer Installation.

Michael asked for Andrew Cosey to come forward to be sworn in as the new President of Rotary Club of Savannah East. All Past Presidents of RCSE that were in attendance came up to ceremoniously pass the gavel to Andrew. The new officers for Rotary Club of Savannah East for the upcoming year are:

Once the new slate of officers were installed, Andrew spoke about how welcoming and genuine the members are at RCSE. He challenged everyone to share the social and service projects that RCSE does throughout the year with friends and prospective members. He also challenged all members to bring a friend or colleague to one of our meetings. Andrew finished by thanking everyone for trusting him in this role. It looks like the new fiscal year is shaping up to be another great year for RCSE!
