Our speaker for the meeting this week is Kevin Wade who will be talking about the IT corridor in Augusta. More than 120 cybersecurity companies call Georgia home and generate over $4.7 billion in revenue every year - almost 25% of the global security market. Together, these companies employ over 10,000 network and computer system engineers across the state. Effective in 2020, Fort Gordon in Augusta became the home to the U.S. Army Cyber Command, the central post for all of the U.S. Army's cybersecurity operations. More than 4,700 high-tech military personnel have been relocated to Fort Gordon as part of this growth within military intelligence, cyber and the NSA. Kevin is the creator of intelliSystems which is an information technology firm for small and medium sized business. Kevin was named the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce Entrepreneur of the Year.

It was a wonderful day to have a new member induction - Victoria Baylor! Victoria is a clarity & mindset coach with a special gift for helping others to become their best selves. A dynamic and experienced speaker, she is incredibly active in the community. We are thrilled to have Victoria join RCSE and know that she will have a positive impact on our club! After all Rotary business items were discussed, Hans Stautberg spoke to the club about his life as a Merchant Marine.
Hans Stautberg is a Second Mate/Navigator with the Merchant Marines. An impressive young man, Hans explained the role of the Merchant Marine and then went into depth about his current position with Subcom, a company that lays internet cable in the ocean for Google. At only 26, he has visited 32 countries and recounted a few of his adventures with us — some of them quite dramatic! It was a joy to have him speak with us!
