We will be meeting at The Pirates House this Friday in our normal meeting room - Captain Flints Hall. The side door to the room will be unlocked if you would prefer to use that entrance.
If you have not already done so, you still have time to fill out the RCSE Membership Survey! There will be paper copies of the survey at the meeting this Friday or you can click on this link
and fill it out online! Please take a few moments to complete this as it will help with planning for the upcoming Rotary year.

School Supply Drive for
Haven Elementary
It's that time of year again where we will be collecting school supplies from the official SCCPSS school supply list for students at Haven Elementary School, our partner school for our July service project. Please bring supplies to one of our upcoming meetings to be collected and delivered to the school before the school year begins. The official school supply list has yet to be published but the students are always in need of crayons, marble composition notebooks, glue sticks, and Kleenex.
For those members who prefer to donate funds, rather than supplies, please give cash or your check to either Andrew Cosey or Kerri Culver, who have graciously agreed to shop for us again this year.
We enjoyed a busy meeting this week! First, we welcomed our newest RCSE member, Dr. Roy Maynard, to the club! Next, President Andrew Cosey presented a contribution from the club to Mr. Joe Marchese for the Lowcountry Down Syndrome Society. Finally, Andrew reminded all members of the upcoming June Social and Service Projects. Once all Rotary business items were complete, Kim Campbell introduced our speaker for the day, Kimberly Ergul, who shared with us her Kindness Initiative.
Kimberly was inspired to create a kindness symbol after walking down a flag lined street in Maine. When designing her image, she was very careful with the colors and images that she picked. Light blue represents unity, white represents harmony, the heart represents love, and the olive branch is the international symbol of peace. After designing her image, she had it trademarked which took many years. Her goal with the Kindness Initiative is to be in schools and maybe even partner with the Girls Scouts!
Kimberly encouraged everyone to embrace the idea of being mindful and kind as we interact with others. Intentional kindness can help to alleviate loneliness, bridge differences, and foster stronger, more positive relationships with friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
