Please join us this Friday, August 17, for fun, fellowship, and a presentation by Daniel Carey with Historic Savannah Foundation. The Historic Savannah Foundation's mission is to save buildings, places and stories that define Savannah's past, present, and future. RCSE looks forward to seeing all members and guests on Friday!
It was great to see so many faces at the meeting on Friday! Unfortunately, the scheduled speaker wasn't able to attend due to a family emergency. Luckily for us, Gordon Matthews was willing to step in and lead a discussion on meme's which is something passed onto us from someone else.
Gordon is developing a TED talk on meme's and talked to the club about meme's in the workplace. Most of what you learn in business does not come from a textbook. It is best to learn from a mentor who is one level above you. Cindy learned a lot about sales from watching her Dad. Gena learned from her mentor that relationship building and networking is essential in running a successful non profit. Justin learned from his father and grandfather that nothing happens until there is a sale. Gordon concluded his talk by pointing out you can learn from success and failure.
