We will be meeting at The Pirates House this Friday in our normal meeting room - Captain Flints Hall. The side door to the room will be unlocked if you would prefer to use that entrance. In an abundance of caution, please wear your mask to the meeting and keep it on at all times other than eating lunch.
Our speaker for the meeting this week is Victoria Baylor. Victoria's mission is to help entrepreneurs and professionals build a strong mindset and unwavering personal brand that allows them to uniquely see their value, expand their visibility, elevate their opportunities, and make a huge impact through their work and in the world.
We will also have a new member induction this week: Elizabeth Brown. Please show your support for her by attending the meeting. RCSE looks forward to seeing all members and guests this Friday!

This past Friday, Josh Carter from JC Functional Fitness spoke to the club about multiple aspects of health, wellness, and fitness. Before Josh presented, President Laura Lane McKinnon reminded everyone of the annual Oyster Roast on February 26th at Gordon Matthew's home.
Josh's mission with his company is to help people succeed and become better than they are. He believes there are four elements of well being. The first is nutrition. Nutrition plays a role in many aspects of our body such as energy production, gut health, and cognitive function. Since every body is different, there is not one diet that we should all follow. Josh did recommend we all avoid canola and vegetable oils. The second element of well being is resistance and strength training. As we age, we lose muscle. Resistance and strength training can lead to better bone health and production as well as cardio improvement and an increase in cognitive function. If you are in pain, it is your body requesting you change something. The third element is breathing. How you breath can influence how you feel. Finally, the fourth element is mobility training. Mobility does not mean flexibility. Mobility training can increase range of motion, reduce pain, and increase energy.
